 Today in class we talked about Emily Dickson, read one of her poems and discussed it. Her poem was about the speaker being a nobody and how dreary it is to be a somebody. We ended up also discussing what it means to be a nobody and a somebody. 

 Today we wrote about unpopular opinions. Each of us in class were able to pick out our own unpopular opinion. We wrote a pro, a con, then compromised. 

Today was a chill day. I took the rest of my test in my ap class. In mr rease we talked teen gun violence and how to stop. I agreed on starting community services for teens to help stop encourage gun violence.

 Today started off slow but ended quickly. It was an independent in 2nd block. In mr rease class we completed 3 exercises in the vocabulary book and turned it in at the end of class.

 Today was a good day. I used today to catch up on some work from other classes. In mr rease class we continued on our notes about argument. 

 Today was a pretty cool day. Today in Mr. Rease's class we took on argumentative and types of claims. I also attend my junior conference to pick out my classes for senior my senior year. I choose to take 2 classes per semester and work base learning.

 Today Mr. Rease wasn't here. In class, we completed a vocabulary assignment. Also today I felt better than over the weekend because I was sick.

 Friday was my first day back since last week Friday.  I was on a mini vacation celebrating my grandmother's birthday.

The purpose of life is to evolve. The purpose of existence is to realize our own purpose on earth and to do things that are important to ourselves. Always cherish the present because tomorrow is never promised. 

 In today’s lesson we read annotated a poem by Langston Hughes “Mother to Son”. This poem showed how life is not easy and will face hardships along the way. The mother explained how her life wasn’t really wealthy and luxury for her.

 Today I left school early for an appointment.

 Today was good. In Mr. Rease's class, we watched a biography of Langston Hughes, a voice during the Harlem Renaissance. We read one of the poems he created when got out of high school "The Negro Speaks of Rivers". We were able to analyze and come up with two themes. 

 My mother doesn’t really give me advice. We more so just talk about it and give opinions/thoughts. If I ask about something the answer will be based off the right thing to do. Example will be like saving/managing money.

 Today was a pretty cool. In Mr.Rease class I enjoyed watching the short film “The Elevator”. I won a work coupon for play a kahoot. Lastly we completed a pre-test for Mr. Rease to see where we were at.

I like how the film was easy to anaylze. It looked like the film was shot in a hospital. I didn’t dislike nothing about the film. The theme for the short film is don’t judge anyone off of first impressions.
