 Today we opened with a bell ringer question “Is killing justifiable in the military ?”. I was in between about because in a way no one should be able to take your life when ever they feel. Next we read the story “Ambush” about a man in the military who took another man life but had no intention on doing so. We then worked on the question as a group and came up with some points. As class we discussed on how it is justifiable or not justifiable. 

 Today we had a sub. We read an article and answer some questions related to it. This article gave statistics of the amount of teens addicted to video games. To describe this article it was a review of a research study on the video gaming habits of students. From the passage I can conclude that video gaming can become expensive and time consuming.

For the last 45 minutes of class when can have a class discussion about the topic from yesterday. In general Fridays should give us time complete or make up any missing work. It will allow us to reflect over the week and maybe also talk about we learned. This can be beneficial for our mental health due to the amount work, test/quizzes, projects we get in a week. We can also prepare for work we will do the next week. It

 Today in class we worked on projects. The project was related to to the play we’ve read and watched called Fences. We were able to choose from 6 different creative choices. I choose to complete a resume for Rose. For the job I choose for her to work in bakery because she loved bake/cook.

The job I came up for her to work in a bakery. I came up with this decision cause Rose use to bake cakes and take them down to the church.

 We had 6 people present their “Black owned business in Atlanta” project. Then we watched a documentary on black millionaires.

 Today we completed lesson 3 of your vocabulary book. Wrote 15 original sentences and did exercises 1 and 3.

 We learned about characterization and the 2 types. Next we read the poem “Incident” and analyzed. Lastly we wrote a narrative about the poem.

 Today Mr rease wasn’t here. We started on our project Black-owned businesses.

 Today we had a student teacher come in today and teach us a lesson. We started with a bell ringer rally about oppression and how we feel about it. Next we analyzed a poem “Harlem” talking about what happens if dream deferred. Lastly we wrote our dreams.

 Today we an analyzed a poem. We also we received a project to complete “Black-owned business”.

 Today we completed our benchmark.

 Today we finished up our assignment on Dickson's quotes.

 Today in class we analyzed 10 of Dickson's quotes.

 Today we presented our one pager.

 

Today we wrote our definition from the vocabulary book and completed 2 exercises. With the remaining time we finished up our one pager.

 Today we completed a vocabulary quiz and started working on our one pager.

 Today in class we read and analyze 2 poems by Emily Dickson. We also read another one and started on creating a one pager.

Today in class we broke a poem down and learned how to analyze finding 2 themes and a connection. At the end we review the student code of conduct and the test.
