 Today we continued on practicing for the EOC. We read two passages on college loan. We opened up talking about colleges we want to go to and it’s in state and out of state tuition. We also mentioned acceptance and graduation rate. Lastly we also talked differences in colleges like community, trade, and military.

 Today was Mr.Rease wasn’t here. We completed work in our vocabulary book. We worked on 3 different exercises. I really didn’t have much work to do today besides a test on my first period class. I also got see a prom posal before 4th period. 

  Today in class we read passages. The passages were about driverless cars how they can be positive and negative,  I kinda in the middle with driverless cars because I personally wouldn't want drive the whole time but then I do care about the safety of it. They can be very useful while traveling to far places like out of town. I enjoyed reading about this topic.

 Today we created our own poems. 

 Today was an independent day. Ms.Cook was going to conduct a lesson from a story the Rock Pile but she wasn’t here today. Mr. Rease gave us our new set of vocabulary words. We had to write the words and create 15 original sentences. I like to do them sometimes cause it gives me a better understanding of the words.

 Today we finished the movie “Fences”. I enjoyed watching the movie and each character part was played. It  gave a big visual from reading the play first. We completed a characterization sheet from 2 characters in the movie while watching the last part of the movie. I choose Rose and Troy this helped give me more visual of their character. 

 Today I was absent.

 Today in class we finished the book. 7 years later Troy died and Cory is in the marines. I was very appalled to read that Troy had died. Throughout the book I was able to read as Rose and narrator. I enjoyed reading this play and hope to do more.

 We started out class going over the sheet from yesterday. A few people gave their claims and textual evidence from a character in the story. We then we began to read the book. This time we managed to reach the climax. Troy confesses to rose that he has been having an affair with Alberta and is expecting a child. 

 Today mr.rease started class with a few announcements. We are still reading the book Fences. From what read Cory is upset with Troy that he told the recruiter the Cory is not allowed to play football. He wants him to keep up with his chores and work at A&P. After reading a few scene we completed a work sheets, giving 3 claims and textual evidence for each character.

 Today in Mr. Rease class we finished writing our argumentative essays.

We started finishing out annotation sheet from Act one scene one from yesterday. We continued reading the book Fences. We read Act one scene two and act one scene three. We were introduced to two new characters Cory and Gabriel. 

 Today we started out with something new. Mr.rease passed out a book from a movie Fences. We first watched a video about the author. Next we watched the trailer from the movie. We then analyzed the title “Fences”. We talked about what fences mean literally and metaphorically. Lastly we started reading book (Act one, scene one).

 Today was asynchronous. We did not attend to school because of teacher work day. I plan to work on some assignments that are due. There is a championship game for our basketball team vs Sandy creek. This is our second time going against them in then championship but in basketball. 

 Today we completed a benchmark.

 Today was a pretty chill day. Ms.Cook conducted a lesson today of analyzing a poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay”. First we started with a bell ringer “does something good always last forever”. I agreed on it being no because at some point everything will come to an end. Towards end of the class we had discussion about and similar to the question and poem.

 Today we started out with going over questions about the poem “Out Out” from yesterday. We continued analyzing poems by Robert Frost. Today we analyzed his poem called “Birches”. We also continued working with new way of analyzing a poem. For the remainder of class we worked in groups on finishing with the poem.

 Today Mr. Rease introduced us a new to fully analyze poems for a better understanding. We first watched a biography about Robert Frost. Next we analyzed one of his poems “Out Out”. After reading and analyzed the poem with Mr. Rease we also worked in groups together to finish. Towards the end of class Ms. Cook gave us donuts.

 Today we started out with group presentations. Next there was a parade in the school again today. Parade was to send off our basketball team to the final 4. We then came back to classroom finish off with presentations. Lastly we worked in the vocabulary book exercise 1,3, and 4.

 Today we continued about the story “Ambush”. Yesterday I wasn’t here but there was an assignment worked on as a group. 3 groups presented and then the next 3 will present tomorrow. People made connections, summarized, explained vocabulary words, and/or had illustrations. After the first groups presented we worked on a quiz related to the story.

 Today I was absent.
